The training asks for explanations for the lag of 7,455 euros between the effective cost of the service and what is collected through the municipal rate
Citizens will demand in the Plenary the government team to stop overcharging the residents of Ojós for the garbage collection service.
The training has detected a gap of 7,455 euros between the cost of the service and what the City Council collects for this fee, and its spokesman, Alberto Sanchez, asks "what the government team is spending that money overcharged the neighbors "and requires that the rate that citizens are paying for this service be adjusted to its cost, which would mean an immediate reduction of the receipt.
Ciudadanos Ojós highlights that in 2016 the effective cost of garbage collection service reached 65 euros per inhabitant, a figure that contrasts with the 120 of the recognized obligations and the 80 that finally end up entering per capita, thus causing a surplus of service that reaches 7,455 euros.
"With this motion we want to shed light on the discrepancies between the cost of the service and the revenues that are finally collected in the municipal coffers", explained Sánchez.
In addition to this gap, Citizens has also detected that the production of urban solid waste is below the regional average and Ojós has a cost per ton of 214 euros, when the regional average is 139 euros and municipalities such as the of Alhama de Murcia barely reaches 34 euros.
