The Director General of Roads, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, accompanied by the Mayor of Ojós, Pablo Melgarejo, supervised today the end of the works that have involved an investment of more than 72,000 euros, and stressed that this action "improves the security of the waiting area for travelers on this road, a route widely used by the residents of the region of Valle de Ricote and which records a transit of nearly 500,000 vehicles a year. "
The first phase of the work consisted of the embankment and conditioning of the road margin and improvement of drains to avoid dragging and puddling of the road.
A second phase included the paving of the pavement and sidewalks to connect pedestrian with the entrance to the municipal cemetery of Ojós.
Fernández Lladó explained that "to enable the bus stop, a semiglorieta with an outside radio of 14 meters and a sidewalk of 2 meters has been built, which allows the entry and exit of buses and their stop for the collection and descent of users, outside the highway RM-521 ".
