The municipal plenary of Ojós unanimously approved the proposal of the municipal spokesman of Citizens to promote a collaboration agreement with the University of Murcia that allows the creation of a permanent headquarters of the educational entity in the municipality
According to the proposal of the orange party in the municipality, "one of the main objectives of the Public University of Murcia is to improve the levels of university extension, that is, to connect the institution with the whole society and with the different sectors of the population , beyond the university community in the strict sense. "
In relation to the above, declare sources of Citizens, "the permanent headquarters are becoming a fundamental instrument that allows the University to reach the municipalities and their social life, generating numerous benefits in this performance."
The Municipal Spokesman for Citizens, Alberto Sánchez, declares that "with the impetus of a permanent university headquarters we can improve the knowledge levels of our municipality by becoming the stage for conducting numerous courses and seminars, as well as using the human capital of the UM at the service of improving our local community in such important research aspects as sustainable tourism, agriculture and employability or healthy aging ".
Taking advantage of the synergies that this institutional collaboration can generate will be of great importance for Ojós, with this Spokesperson betting on permanent headquarters management with annual programming and field studies.
The motion was approved unanimously.
