The president of the Community, Fernando López Miras, inaugurated last night the municipal swimming pool of Ojós, with which all the municipalities of the Region already have one of these sports facilities.
"This pool is a reflection of the municipalist vocation of the regional government and the commitment to equal opportunities for all Murcia," said the regional chief executive, who recalled that the implementation of this pool serves to expand the leisure offer For the neighbors of the municipality, but also to "encourage sports and healthy living".
The construction of the recreational swimming pool of Ojós was a demand of the neighbors of the municipality, reason why three counties of the regional Government were involved in the financing of their works, which have supposed an investment of 470,000 euros.
The General Directorate of Sports, the Regional Employment and Training Service and the General Directorate of Local Administration contributed more than 80 percent of the total cost of the sports infrastructure and the rest was borne by the city council.
