Ecologists in Action has reported to the competent authorities the partial destruction of the hydraulic assembly Dinner Escobero of Perintín, located in the municipality of Ojos, in the Place de La Era, next to the road Eye Blanca MU-520.
This ethnographic element consisted of a water mill rosary and blood, mineshaft, was, masonry retaining wall stone pit and ditch siphoning masonry and ceramic gutters distribution of water for irrigation.
The complaint describes how the expansion works of a facility in the area have of course, until now, the destruction and disappearance of the irrigation canal, by digging, cutting slope several meters along and above, and withdrawal or covering of the materials composing the ditch and the wall supporting masonry.
The work also included the plaster and elevation by several meters of wall along the road several tens of meters and installation of metal fence and gate.
The organization warns that Escobero dinner is protected by the PGMO Ojós element included in the list of protected items as No. record 20, and figure included in the Regional Catalogue with No. 31016 (See attached).
In addition, finding the within the public road, being "... less than 18 m from the road as befits their level, where it is forbidden to perform any type of construction, reconstruction or expansion ..." according to the PGMO Ojós force and the Highway Act.
Therefore the Ecologists in Action has denounced the facts, requiring the Ministry of Culture and Spokesman opening disciplinary proceedings and replacing the previous state.
The organization said that is not the only complaint he has had to make in recent months by destruction of cultural elements protected in municipalities in the region of Murcia, which calls on both the regional administration and local to give more publicity to the importance and protection of such elements to raise awareness about their respect and protection.
