The Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Adela Martínez-Cachá, met today with the Mayor of Ojós, Pablo Melgarejo, to plan improvement actions in the only school in the municipality, the CEIP San Agustín, as well as in the sports track that is attached to the center.
The Minister stressed "the commitment of the regional government with all municipalities in the region, which also reaches the smallest because it is the best way to work for and for citizens."
During the meeting the priorities of the educational center were established and the actions were scheduled, which will consist of the Ministry repairing the humidity that appeared in the semi-basement classroom and arranging the cabinets in which diverse material is stored;
later it will replace the windows and the blinds, which will mean an investment of about 20,000 euros;
and finally, the paving of the sports court will be proceeded for an amount of 15,000 euros.
In total, an investment in the center of more than 40,000 euros is planned.
CEIP San Agustín has 12 students enrolled and the next course is expected to be 13. The students are divided into two mixed units.
